The History of Chillums
Chillums originated in India and East Asia. Back then they were often clay pipes and were used by holy men during their meditation and spiritual contemplations. They started arriving in the West during the heady days of the 1960s. They took hold and have increased in popularity ever since. They tend to deliver stronger hits than standard round or V Cups.
Originally Chillums were so long that they needed two people to operate them. One to light them while the other enjoyed a smoke. The smoker would quite often cup their hands around the end, creating a ‘bowl’. Now our bongs do that for you. Modern Chillum Cups are added to bongs and create a clean, cool and safe smoking experience.
